Blown away by what Geophysical companies charge for their services?
We believe we can offer our services at a fraction of what the most if not all other geophysical companies offer.
How do we do this?
Firstly I’ll need to give you some background on what we do in our leisure time. For many years I’ve always been interested in looking for buried or sunken treasure. However in order to get serious one needs to get serious equipment. In 2004 we purchased a marine magnetometer to conduct surveys looking for shipwrecks. This has proved to have been an invaluable tool and has been a worthwhile investment with many sites being located. A portable custom made frame is used to support our marine magnetometer for land based applications.
As enjoyable as shipwreck hunting and searching for buried treasure is in New Zealand it’s not a living. This is why our activities mostly take place during the weekends and is not our primary source of income, hence we can offer our equipment and services at a much reduced price without having to cover all the typical overheads of a traditional company. However most surveys can only be performed during a weekend but we may be able to accommodate weekdays if current workload permits.
In 2007 we added to our arsenal, two pulse induction metal detectors. These are not your standard run of the mill detectors. Capable of detecting objects 6 meters underground (dependant on size of object) they come with a 1 x 1 and 2 x 2 square metre search coil, enabling them to achieve incredible depth.
We are currently working on introducing further services such as ground resistivity and ground penetrating radar. Contact us if you have a current project that requires any of these two services.
